Na intense rehabilitasie gaan Alwyn huis toe, en niks is soos dit was voor die ongeluk nie. Hy vertel deernisvol en eerlik hoe hy met genade van Bo opgestaan het en besluit het om aan te gaan met sy lewe. Die ongeluk het hom kans gegee om dinge te doen wat hy nooit voorheen sou gedink het sy hou kon doen nie. In 2019 word hy die eerste paraplegiese atleet wat 'n Ironman-kompetisie in minder as sewe uur te voltooi. Op 11 Desember 2020 word hy die eerste parapleeg ooit wat van Robbeneiland na Eden on the Bay (Bloubergstrand) swem. Met vele ander terugslae en teleurstellings in sy vroeë lewe, ontvou 'n verhaal van ontembare deursettingsvermoë wat ander sal inspireer.
