Stephan Joubert is a theologian, minister, award-winning author and family man. He heads up ekerk, an Afrikaans virtual community of believers that reaches people across the world through digital ministry. He is a columnist for Beeld and JUIG! He is an Extraordinary Professor of Theology at the University of the Free State and a research fellow at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
Stephan has authored many books, including Jesus – ’n radikale sprong, which won the Andrew Murray prize in 2010. He has published more than 55 titles and has sold more than 200 000 books. Die Boodskap, a modern translation of the Bible undertaken together with Jan van der Watt, has been a highlight in his life. He is married to Marietjie and they have two daughters.
